Royal Purple Oil Filters are made to be used with synthetic oils in conjunction with extended oil changes intervals up to 12,000 miles. Royal Purple Extended Life Oil Filters are full synthetic microglass media oil filters. Most oil filters are cellulose (paper), some are blends of cellulose and synthetic media. These type oil filters cannot combine the filtering capabilities, flow characteristics and longevity of full synthetic media oil filters. Royal Purple has designed an ultra-premium filter for the optimal performance.
